“From Ideas to Technologies”: This is the title of the exposition that Tonello is using for its participation in the Bangladesh Denim Expo 2017, being held in Dhaka the 17th and 18th of May. The display will offer an overview of the new trends in denim finishing materials. It will be presented on 18 May, beginning at 11.00 a.m., in the seminar hosted by Piero Turk – one of the internationally recognized gurus of denim – and by Alice Tonello, the company’s R&D manager.
Piero Turk will discuss the themes dealt with on the walls of the stand, alternating with Alice Tonello who will instead illustrate theme by theme, how certain effects were obtained until just a few years ago and how today we can count on technology and production processes that are radically different and increasingly sustainable.
Specifically, both of them will focus on cultural, economic and environmental factors that influence and will continue to influence the further evolution of finishings.
Tonello’s Denim Gallery will also be presented in the during the expo. This is the exhibition event from the recent Kingpins in Amsterdam, which hosted several designers invited to express their conceptions of reality on the fabric of jeans. The exhibition has started travelling, awaiting its impending continuation, and is another concrete demonstration of Tonello’s ability to operate on various creative as well as productive stages to give the world’s leading brands not only technologically based answers, but also, and above all, ideas and innovative solutions.
All of the garments presented have been realized in collaboration with Piero Turk and Massimo Falaguasta from Tonello’s Research Center in our new Creative Area. This Creative Area is an actual atelier dedicated to research and experimentation where the designers’ fantasy and the desires of the various Brands can become reality. The garments under “development” can, in fact be analyzed, studied, perfected, revolutionized, and tested: the complete panorama of all the treatments permits exploring the thousands of possibilities of technology, and the thousands of special effects that, with Tonello’s machines, become absolutely normal.
“This new creative area” – says Alice Tonello, the company’s R&D manager – “is the natural outlet for our philosophy: a concrete service for our customers, something that a mere supplier of machines would not be able to offer.”
