After the recognition we received in 2015, with NoStone®, it was difficult to repeat ourselves. This is why we are particularly happy with the results of ITMA 2019, where Tonello won not only one, but two awards.
Common Thread follows Scott Morrison, founder of 3×1 and America’s foremost denim guru, on his search for authenticity and sustainability in the rapidly changing world of denim. Equally rooted in tradition and evolution, Scott’s exploration took him first to Italy, home of the generations of artisans who elevated jean-making from a craft to an art.
Surprising, enigmatic, fascinating, dreamlike, astonishing.
These are just some of the adjectives which we could use to define “Denim High Emotions”, the artistic installation we presented in Barcelona, on the occasion of ITMA 2019, celebrating the inspiring side of denim. And creating a unique, unrepeatable and memorable event.
As a timeless classic of fashion, denim continues to lend itself to new uses, evolving its forms such that it remains the undisputed king of casual comfortable dressing.
This year, at Munich Fabric Start, from August 30 to 31, four companies, leader in their respective market segments, have chosen to astonish the world by presenting a total look collection – from jackets to knitwear, from underwear to shoes… – entirely realized with a cool and innovative stretch fabric: DEN/IM.
Tonello joined forces with Kaltex for the New York edition of Kingpins, the international show dedicated to denim insiders. Together, they presented the Konscious collection, featuring garments processed ecologically in all phases of production and with an authentic worn-out look. Innovative fabrics, cutting-edge technologies and revolutionary finishing techniques: these were the constituent elements of a successful collaboration. Bringing sustainable fashion to the market.
Tonello was invited in taking part in Denim and Color, a washing guide by Vicunha Têxtil focused on the main trends of the upcoming season (Fall/Winter 2016).
More than 30 garments, tailor-made by Vicunha, were treated with Tonello sustainable technologies for washing, dyeing and finishing and transformed into super attractive articles of clothing.
The collection includes garments realized with one of Tonello latest developments: Multicolour Laser, the first technology to colour denim and fabrics with laser.
This April, Amsterdam is dyeing blue as it will be the stage for one of the most prestigious denim show of the world: the Amsterdam Denim Days.
We will be guest at ISKO’s booth during Blueprint on April 17th and 18th with our sustainable technologies. Illustrations created live at the event by artist Skulljan will be marked with our Laser Blaze on denim fabrics and garments created by Creative Room. All garments were previously treated with our ECOfree system, enhancing their looks, sustainability and healthiness.
