This month, the capital of Bangladesh will turn indigo blue, as it will host Bangladesh Denim Expo, from April 25 to 26. The show celebrates the country’s role in shaping the denim scene today, and explores Bangladesh’s position in the industry of the future. And it will have a strong focus on investment for education and training for young people. To build a future, we must transfer knowledge internally to a new generation of designers, merchandisers, buyers, production technicians and entrepreneurs in the Bangladesh denim industry.
A non-book book, experimental, artistic but never didactic; an “emotional object” of inspiration and design, made up more of free associations – thematic, graphic and photographic… – than of logical and orderly arguments, like a fabric that is interwoven of different kinds and consistencies of threads, combined together by proximity, and similarity or contrast: Tonello has chosen to celebrate its first thirty-five years of history with a tribute.
Our new site hosts the first online shop with laser designs and graphics: an ample library of images from simple to complex, that can be used with any machine. These can be used for large or small samples, and combined with washes, dyes and finishes so that you can create unique garments in very little time and without heavily investing in equipment or personnel. Everything is always at your fingertips 24/7.
After the victory at the first ITMA Sustainable Innovation Award for its NoStone® denim finishing technology developed with Levi Strauss & Co., Tonello announced that its Water Brush was named Launch of the Year at last week’s Future Materials Awards.
The Water Brush system perfected by Tonello introduces a revolutionary change to the world of denim garment treatment. The whitening and abrasion process for jeans can now be obtained without using permanganate or any other chemical products and without manual brushing. This protects the safety and health of the operators, while fully respecting the environment and workplace.
Today, we announced the latest advance in denim manufacturing, the NoStone®, a new system developed in collaboration with Levi Strauss & Co. The new process is designed to overcome economic, mechanical and environmental limitations of existing stone-wash processes.
The NoStone® system eliminates the use of pumice stone, replacing it with a stainless-steel abrasive drum, fastened to the washing machine. This drum can create a variety of finishes through flexible abrasion adjustments to create the look and styles varieties consumers love. Due to the mechanical – rather than chemical – nature of the process, the NoStone® effect is the same as that of stone-wash and reduces the carbon footprint created by using pumice stones.
We are bound to revolutions: after the ozone and ECOfree revolution, the Laser revolution arrives now.
Starting today, with Tonello Laser, you can colour Denim and any other fabric the way you always wanted to, but never dared asking for. All of this is now possible thanks to a special resin, our research and the great experience Tonello has in laser treatments.
The new Multicolour Laser package created by Tonello is the final solution for all brands and dyeing plants that always want to follow the newest trends and to distinguish their service.
Tonello was invited in taking part in Denim and Color, a washing guide by Vicunha Têxtil focused on the main trends of the upcoming season (Fall/Winter 2016).
More than 30 garments, tailor-made by Vicunha, were treated with Tonello sustainable technologies for washing, dyeing and finishing and transformed into super attractive articles of clothing.
The collection includes garments realized with one of Tonello latest developments: Multicolour Laser, the first technology to colour denim and fabrics with laser.
This April, Amsterdam is dyeing blue as it will be the stage for one of the most prestigious denim show of the world: the Amsterdam Denim Days.
We will be guest at ISKO’s booth during Blueprint on April 17th and 18th with our sustainable technologies. Illustrations created live at the event by artist Skulljan will be marked with our Laser Blaze on denim fabrics and garments created by Creative Room. All garments were previously treated with our ECOfree system, enhancing their looks, sustainability and healthiness.
Thanks to a special patent pending process and resins developed by Zaitex and Tonello specific research and know-how in laser treatment, we can now colour denim and any other fabric as we always wanted to do.
Multicolour Laser is the result of an accurate investigation combining a special resin by Zaitex with Tonello sustainable technologies. The study included several tests with the various parameters of Tonello Laser on different types of fabrics (e.g. cotton, leather, seamless fabric) each one with different kind of finishings and dyes.
