The main focus of denim designers is to make a new garment look old. Enzymes can produce great results, without polluting the environment. In 1952 Carlsberg mapped a protein degrading enzyme for the first time. We shared this discovery with the world, kickstarting groundbreaking progress in technology and industry.
Another new project from Tonello: Denim Gallery, is a bona fide display of “dreams and visions of reality”, as told by 10 Designers from around the world who have used Denim as their canvas for painting, staining, and assaulting in order to express themselves with artistic languages, materials, and concepts. The installation will be one of the coolest events of the 2017 edition of Kingpins and Blueprint, scheduled in Amsterdam from April 19 to 22.
At the end of March, three students of the Jeanschool of Amsterdam were selected for a full-immersion training at Tonello, where they learned about garment finishing and denim processing. During the week, they developed new skills and the right expertise to realize by themselves a creative denim collection, taking advantage of Tonello sustainable technologies. The collection was showcased during Amsterdam Denim Days 2016. A few months later we interviewed them, asking about their experience in Tonello, their thoughts about the industry and their future projects after graduation.
This month, the capital of Bangladesh will turn indigo blue, as it will host Bangladesh Denim Expo, from April 25 to 26. The show celebrates the country’s role in shaping the denim scene today, and explores Bangladesh’s position in the industry of the future. And it will have a strong focus on investment for education and training for young people. To build a future, we must transfer knowledge internally to a new generation of designers, merchandisers, buyers, production technicians and entrepreneurs in the Bangladesh denim industry.
Tonello will strengthen its already solid presence in Bangladesh by participating at the 12th Dhaka Int’l Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition from 4 to 7 February 2015. At the fair, the Italian company will presents in premiere Mago, a new remote assistance service.
Fresh from the recent participation at Bangladesh Denim Expo last November, Tonello is in Dhaka again, premiering its first big news of 2015: Mago. This innovative remote assistance service allows Tonello to always work side-by-side with its customers, wherever they are, just as if it was there on site.
After the great success at ITMA ASIA and the participation in “Great Ideas in Cotton” conference in Hong Kong, the Italian company Tonello is now preparing for exhibiting at Bangladesh Denim Expo with its latest technologies and a new Research team, competent and skilled.
Tonello is preparing for Bangladesh Denim Expo with new technologies and new innovative finishing systems which will draw the attention of the many visitors attending the exhibition. An example is one of the company latest developments: ECOfree, described by the company as the ozone revolution.
After the participation in last month event in Hong Kong, Great Ideas in Cotton by Cotton Incorporated and Cotton Council International, Tonello, at the forefront in the research and development of sustainable technologies for treating ready-made garments, will be present as exhibitor at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2014.
The event will take place in Shanghai, China, from the 16th to the 20th of June and is strongly supported by ACIMIT, the association of Italian textile machinery manufacturers of which Tonello is member.
